I went into this book not expecting to adore Alex this much, yet somehow this man succeeded in winning me over. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by Alex in this story. There is so much more to him than what we think we know. He's not the selfish man we've been led to believe he is. Alex is amazingly sweet and caring. He's charming, funny, and irresistibly sexy. He's made mistakes in the past but he accepts responsibility for them, and he has lots of love to give to the right girl.
I liked Aspen from the beginning. She’s been through some of the same things as Alex, and that helps her understand him like no one else has. She’s tough, and can handle anything life throws at her. She’s kind and caring, and she has a big heart. But above all, she’s patient, which is a quality that she needs when it comes to Alex.
The chemistry from these two was apparent from the beginning. From innocent flirtations to full-blown heat, we get to watch these two grow and change over the course of their story. It’s not easy, but love often isn’t, and Kendall Ryan does a great job of making that point. You’re going to love this story!
