Once again Sawyer Bennett packs a lot of feels in a short novella- style book!
My heart broke for Rafe during the little bit of time we got to know him in Donovan's book, and the more quick glimpses we got of him, the more I needed his story. Rafe is amazing. He's selfless and a genuinely good man willing to sacrifice everything he's worked toward for family. I couldn't fall for him fast enough.
Calliope is the missing piece to Rafe's puzzle. She knows him better than anyone. Though their history keeps her guard up around him, her heart is too big to close off to him. She's patient and compassionate and the perfect distraction Rafe didn't realize he needed.
This story will break your heart at times. But it's not all heavy. Humor and plenty of signature Sawyer Bennett heat round out this fantastic second-chance romance. I highly recommend this book and this author.
