I absolutely love the hockey players of the Arizona Vengeance! Turns out, I’m rather smitten with their owner too.
We’ve met Dominik Carlson over the course of this series, so we already know he’s an amazing and generous man, but I don’t think we ever really knew to what extent. He’s way more amazing than we could have anticipated. He’s surprisingly sweet, insanely charming, and fiercely driven and determined. And unsurprisingly, he has an alpha streak that will knock your socks off. This man is dominant, possessive, and unfiltered. He’s a perfect blend of naughty and nice that you’re going to flip for.
I struggled with Willow a bit, but not because there was anything wrong with her or because I didn’t like her. It was more because she drove me crazy at her resistance to Dominik. I constantly wanted to shake some sense into her. She’s stubbornly independent and her refusal to depend on anyone for her happiness is both admirable and annoying. But she’s a good person with a lot of heart to give, and I love her for that. You’ll just need a little patience with her.
I loved this book from beginning to end. Hockey, heat, and a little bit of suspense makes this an amazing book. These two have chemistry in spades and it’s amazing to watch both the explosive and gentle aspects of their attraction. And I love how Sawyer Bennett incorporated some of her other amazing book series into this one. This one packs lots of heat and plenty of heart and it’s going to be an instant favorite. I highly recommend it.
