These characters are binge-worthy!
Ryker is captivating. There’s just something about him that I can’t help but be drawn to. He shouldn’t be attractive, but he is. Don’t get me wrong. He’s sexy, confident, and successful. He’s also bold, cocky, and sometimes arrogant. He always gets his way and isn’t always the nicest guy. But there’s something underneath that layer of ‘bad boy’ that keeps you hanging on. I think once those layers are peeled away, we’re going to see the most amazing man shine through.
Vaughn is a complicated woman. She seems like she shouldn’t have a care in the world, but she definitely carries the weight of the world on her shoulders. She’s strong, independent, but not immune to the charms of Ryker, despite desperately wanting to be. And for all the bravado she exudes, she struggles putting the broken pieces of her life back together.
Talk about an addictive story! From the moment I started reading, I couldn’t put it down. Both Ryker and Vaughn are clouded in mystery and you know there’s more to them than they want to show. Their push and pull is fantastic to watch, their desire for dominance over the other sometimes comical. And their chemistry is off the charts. But cliffhanger haters beware: this is book one of this duet, and there is still SO much story left to tell. I, for one, can’t wait to find out what happens next.
