This series of connected standalone novels is FANTASTIC!
Though we didn’t really know anything about Prince Maximus in the first book (he’s only mentioned, but never seen nor heard from) I’ve been intrigued by him since the beginning. And he has definitely met my expectations. Max is devilishly sexy, charming, and ALWAYS gets what he wants. He is a prince, after all. He’s wild and adventurous and rarely backs down from a challenge. And it's not easy for him to stay on the straight and narrow path he sets for himself when he's easily distracted by a beautiful woman.
Gigi is perfect in this story! She's your ‘everyday girl’ trying to get ahead in life while everything that can go wrong does go wrong, and I think that makes her instantly likable. She’s quirky and funny, stubborn and independent. And she’s in way over her head. She’s has a very strong-willed personality, and it’s fun to see her challenged by Max, who is equally strong-willed.
From their first meeting, you knew their story was going to be fun, sexy, and dirty. This prince is no prim and proper man. He’s got a dirty mouth and the skill to back it up. And Gigi is the perfect woman to keep him in check. I’m definitely loving this series so far! Who knew royalty could be so fun?!?
