REVIEW

Title: Changing the Game

Series: A Play-by-Play Novel #2

Author: Jaci Burton

Release Date: August 2, 2011

Most people play by the rules. Gavin and Liz aren’t most people…

Win at any cost. That’s always been the mantra of sports agent Liz Darnell. When she carries things too far and risks losing her number-one client, baseball pro Gavin Riley, Liz realizes that she’ll have to work extra innings to win him back. It might not be too much of a stretch. She’s had a thing for this player’s moves since she first laid eyes on him, and by the looks of it, he wants her just as bad.

Gavin’s more than ready—especially when Liz is offering herself as part of the bargain. And as much of her as Gavin wants. For added thrills, he decides to throw a little curve ball Liz’s way to see just how far she’s truly willing to go to keep him as a client. But when love unexpectedly enters the playing field, neither Liz nor Gavin are ready for the biggest game-changer of them all.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Jaci Burton is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling, award-winning author of over 60 books. She lives in Oklahoma and when she isn’t on deadline, she can usually be found trying to convince her husband to remodel some room or another in their house (she blames HGTV for this).

She loves gardening, sports, casinos and getting lost in a great book. She’s a total romantic and longs for the happily ever after in every story, which you’ll find in all her books.

I'm so excited to dive back into the Riley family!

I loved this story!

Gavin is fantastic. An amazing baseball player at the top of his game, Gavin is just as impressive off the field as he is on it. He’s got a balanced personality. He can go from the boy next door to that guy your mom warns you about. He’s the perfect mix of sweet, naughty, sexy, and oh so dirty.

Liz means well. She really does, but her approach can sometimes come off as harsh from time to time. She’s good at her job and needs that ‘no holds barred’ mentality to make it in a male dominated business. She doesn’t hand over control well, but Gavin is persistent (and let’s face it, Liz really doesn’t want to resist).

I love these characters, but be prepared to get a little frustrated with them. They make it so complicated for each other, but I think you finish this book with a smile on your face.

I can’t wait to get started with the next one.
