Don't judge me, but this is my very first K. Bromberg book.
I know, I know. No one is more disappointed in me than me. Now I know what I've been missing.
This story is amazing. I went in thinking I was getting a super sexy story about a hot cop. And, of course, I did. But I got so much more than I bargained for. This book was EVERYTHING.
Grant, the aforementioned hot cop, is everything I could have hoped for in a book boyfriend. Funny, quirky, sexy - the man is the total package all wrapped up in a panty-melting blue uniform. And not to mention, he has the patience of a saint when it comes to Emerson.
Emerson has been through things no one should ever have to deal with. Despite that, she's strong and independent, even when the memories of her past start to come back to haunt her. But as Grant starts chipping away at the armor she's built around herself, she realizes just how "not okay" she is.
This book had so many feels. One minute you're laughing, the next you're reaching for the tissues. One minute you're enchanted by their witty banter, the next you're fanning your blushing cheeks. Add in brothers and best friends, and you have a whole group of people to fall in love with.
I loved everything about this book! Five outstanding stars!
