Kim Karr is a New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal Bestselling author.
She grew up in Rochester, NY and now lives in Florida with her husband and four kids. She's always had a love for reading books and writing. Being an English major in college, she wanted to teach at the college level but that was not to be. She went on to receive an MBA and became a project manager until quitting to raise her family. Kim currently works part-time with her husband and recently decided to embrace one of her biggest passions--writing.
Kim wears a lot of hats! Writer, book-lover, wife, soccer-mom, taxi driver, and the all around go-to person of her family. However, she always finds time to read. One of her favorite family outings was taking her kids when they were little to the bookstore or the library. Today, Kim's oldest child is seventeen and no longer goes with her on these, now rare and infrequent, outings. She finds that she doesn't need to go on them anymore because she has the greatest device ever invented--a Kindle.

I was looking forward to Jace’s book in this series and boy, did Kim Karr deliver! Something about that brooding man pulled me in from the beginning and I couldn’t wait to hear his story.
On the surface, it may seem like Jace has it together. He’s got a great career, a beautiful little girl, and a loving bunch of friends. But he struggles daily with the loss of his wife. And the void she left influences everything he does. Despite that, he’s still a very passionate and driven man. He’s charming and sexy, but a little broken in spirit and he’ll pull at your heartstrings every step of the way.
Hannah’s life hasn’t exactly gone the way she planned, but she’s making the best of it. A fresh start in a new town with a new job is the best thing for her and her son. She’s intelligent, determined, and always one to speak her mind.
A chance encounter brings their history together crashing back into the present. It’s heartwarming and heartbreaking all at once. They both struggle through their own issues while trying to fight the pull they have towards each other. But this book isn’t all about the adversity. There are plenty of laughs to be had and steamy moments to make your temperature rise. All in all, it’s a very well rounded second chance love story that will have you rooting for an HEA all the way to the end.
