This is the third Lila Monroe novel I've read and I haven't been disappointed yet! And I don't expect to be either!
Her books are hilarious, yet so full of love and heartwarming moments, wicked sex appeal and swoony gestures, and fantastic characters that you wish you could bring to real life.
Lizzie is one of a kind. Her good intentions never really seem to pan out they way she intends, but like a trooper, she rolls with the punches, no matter how awkward and embarrassing they might be. She might appear to be a mature, put-together adult, but she's all jumbled up like the rest of us, and that makes you fall in love with her even more.
And our leading man in this story? Jake Weston? Can you say hubba-hubba? He has to be one of my favorite book boyfriends of all time! He has this persona as a player, a playboy, and a commitment-phobe, and based on his past experiences, he has every right to be. But despite that fact, you can't resist him, no matter how hard you try. He's sinfully sexy with a dirty mouth, just the right amount of cocky attitude, and charming wit that you'll adore. Oh, he's not totally perfect, but that just adds to his appeal.
