About the Author
Nikki Sloane landed in graphic design after her careers as a waitress, a screenwriter, and a ballroom dance instructor fell through. For eight years she worked for a design firm in that extremely tall, black, and tiered building in Chicago that went through an unfortunate name change during her time there.
Now she lives in Kentucky and manages a team of graphic artists. She is a member of the Romance Writers of America, is married with two sons, writes dirty books, and couldn’t be any happier.

Well, if you ever pick up a book with the name Nikki Sloane on it, then you know you're in for a dirty, sexy, sweet, wicked treat. And this book hits the mark on ALL those things!
Having things not work out the way he wanted in New York, Kyle moved back to Chicago a year ago to work in his family's law firm. Being home sounds like it would be a good thing, but all it does is make Kyle remember all the reasons he left and the one reason he should have stayed.
Ruby.
But when a routine meeting turns into a reunion he never expected, things become clear. Both Kyle and Ruby have unfinished business that neither one of them are prepared for.
These characters are HOT! Every time I read one of these books from this series, I think there's no way the author can write a male lead that I'm gonna love more than the one before him and I'm wrong every single time. Kyle is amazing! He's confident and dominant in the courtroom and it definitely carries over to the bedroom. Ruby is passionate, fiery, and hot tempered, sometimes to her own detriment.
Put these two together and the heat leaps off the pages. It was so hot, my Kindle shut itself off (really, it was just that the battery died because I was so engrossed in the story I didn't realize it needed to be charged but I like to pretend it was for the other reason).
Definitely a five star read in a five star series. I hope like crazy the author decides to keep writing books in this series. It's one of those that you NEVER want to end! If you haven't read a Blindfold Club novel yet, you don't know what you're missing.
