Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if "It's Raining Men" starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.
Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing... enter her first novel, Caught Looking.
Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. I'm a newbie when it comes to Meghan Quinn and let me tell you, she created some pretty memorable characters in this story.
Who wouldn't love a story about a sexy man in a speedo? Did that get your attention? Yeah, it caught mine too.
Reese King is coming to the end of his professional swimming career and despite his better judgment decides to join a popular reality show staring Bellini, the queen of all that is evil in this world. He's just got to live this charade until his last shot at Olympic gold is over, and then he'll be in the clear.
But when the show's new assistant Paisley joins the production, all his easy plans go out the window.
I really enjoyed this book. Not only was it a duel point of view with Paisley and Reese, but we get a third point of view - that of Bellini. And let me tell you, she is one awful, awful lady.
Reese is super sexy, sweet, alpha, naughty - all the qualities you want in a good book boyfriend. Paisley is unique, exotic, and a little broken - things haven't been easy for her lately which is all the more reason she needs to stay away from Reese. Combine the two and sparks jump off the pages. It's a sexy, funny, and charming story.
I'm excited to see if some of the other characters introduced in this story will get their own stories too. There's so much potential for more and I'd love to get a glimpse into life after swimming for Reese. Seriously, speedo.
