Sawyer Bennett has done it again....
This is going to be the third series of hers that I have jumped into and, even though I just finished this book, I'm already going through withdrawls at the prospect of waiting weeks/months for the next two books of this series to hit my kindle.
Unlike the other two series I've read (Cold Fury and Wicked Horse) where each book is about different characters all held together by a common overall story, the Sugar Bowl series is a trilogy that follows Sela Halstead, a woman on a quest for revenge against a man she holds responsible for ruining her life, and Beckett North, the sexy business partner of the man she loathes.
From the very beginning, you'll be hooked. You'll easily be captivated by Sela and fully understand why she wants to revenge she feels she needs in order to put her life back together. She'll do anything to get to him, including putting herself in the sights of Beck, an unexpected yet welcomed distraction. But as they get to know each other better, her feelings change, and Beck becomes more than just a means to an end for her. Beck is charming, charismatic, sweet, loving, and sexy - a total package, and you'll fall in love with him immediately.
He's the perfect fantasy.
This is very much Sela's story, but for me somewhere along the way, I fell in love with Beck and can't help rooting for him to get his HEA. Be warned! This book ends in the almighty cliffhanger and will leave you reeling for closure. This is a fantastic five-star, must-read, one-click start to what is promising to be an AMAZING series!
