I can't even begin to tell you how excited I was when I found out that Sawyer Bennett was adding to her Carolina Cold Fury hockey series. Alex, Garrett, Zack, and Ryker - you can't help but fall in love with these sexy men and their stories. Hawke is no exception.
Being traded to the Cold Fury during the off season, Hawke is ready to put all his focus on the ice and do what it takes to get a ring with his new team. Nothing will distract him from this ultimate goal.
Until she walks back into his life. Vale was the one and only woman he's ever loved, and her unexpected presence just made his life a lot more complicated.
This was an absolutely wonderful story, just as I expected it to be. Sawyer Bennett is one of those authors that you know will give you a good book with plenty of lust, love, tender moments, and sexy scenes that will burn up your kindle. Her characters are well written and ALWAYS capture your heart.
Hawke is sexy and charming, but somewhat jaded on love after the events of his past. Vale is strong and fiercely independent, but broken at the same time because of the events of hers. But despite all that, there's a deep connection there that never truly vanished.
For anyone who is a fan of sports romances, this series is a must-read. And much too my delight, she's not finished with the Cold Fury yet. Max, who we meet in this book, will get his own story soon. Do yourself a favor and one-click every book in this series ASAP. It'll be one of the best decisions you'll make.
