S.R. Watson is a Texas native who resides in Houston with her four children. She is an operating room nurse who has evolved into an author of Erotica and New Adult. She grew up reading the Sweet Valley Series (Twins, High, & University) among others. Back then she would use notebook paper to create stories and cut pictures out of her mother's JC Penney catalogs for the characters she wanted to portray. She ventured away from reading and writing stories when she left home for college to pursue her BSN and then MBA, but picked up reading again in 2012. The minute I heard Shawn Dawson was co-authoring a book, I knew I had to read it. If you're unfamiliar with him, first I ask you where the hell have you been?!?! And then I suggest you book it over to Google and start searching, or just follow the links I've posted in the author bio section of this post. As suspected, underneath all that eye candy is someone who can tell a damned good story.
His co-author on this venture is S.R. Watson, an established writer who already has a few novels under her belt. I haven't had the pleasure of reading her other works yet, but I assure you, I plan to remedy that soon.
From the beginning, I was hooked. There's just something about a sexy manwhore rocker that I can't pass up. Diesel is amazing. His character oozes sex appeal and alpha male. As the lead singer of Sex in Numbers he's sexy as hell and equally as sinful. It's easy to see why his band mate Xander's stepsister Lourdes is smitten.
I love the way the characters evolve as this book goes on. Both have their secrets to hold and their own demons to keep at bay. But despite all that, the irresistible pull of attraction between the two is too strong to ignore. And the sex scenes? Holy hell. Hot, hot, hot. I highly recommend reading them multiple times. ;)
In all the books I've read (both ones I've reviewed and those that I haven't), I've NEVER encountered one with a plot twist like this, that will almost literally knock you on your ass. You know my rule: NO SPOILERS, so if you want to know, ONE-CLICK THE BOOK! You won't be disappointed.
All I can say is books two and three better hurry the hell up. I can't wait to see what happens next....
