I've never read a Melissa Foster book before this one and I'm so glad I found this series! I really enjoyed this first book with its mystery, suspense, and steamy passion.
This is our introduction to the Wild brothers of New York, and this is Logan's story.
This super sexy ex Navy SEAL keeps his life uncomplicated. He works as a private investigator and sees the ugly side of relationships every day. Aside from the occasional one night stand, he's not interested. That is, until he meets the new waitress in town.
Logan Wild is full-on alpha male in this book, but definitely in a sexy way. Like any good book boyfriend, he's not perfect and most certainly has his issues to deal with. And the love interest in this book, Stella, is a good fit in the story. Their characters mesh well together.
This is a fantastic read that kept me intrigued from page one and I'm excited to see more of these boys in action. The After Dark series will include four books for the Wild boys, but will also spin off into the Bad boys and Nice girls (in case you haven't figured it out yet, these are the last names of the families).
I can't wait to see where this series is headed. Now, if you'll excuse me, there's a sexy doctor named Heath Wild that I need to get to know better. : )
