Oh my God this book is sooooooo good!
After the crazy cliffhanger to end the first book, we finally learn the reason Luke had been acting so weird. Everything Reese thinks she knows about Luke's sudden departure is wrong.
He's doing the one thing he can that will allow the two of them to be together without the danger of his father lurking in the background. He's doing everything he can to ensure Reese is safe.
But to Reese, everything Luke does makes her more and more suspicious that she's being played. The lies and the deceit are mounting and with Luke gone, Reese seeks the friendship of her neighbor Sean.
And every time she thinks she and Luke are going to be okay, something else pops up and forces her to realize that Luke just may be out of her reach forever.
This book is definitely packed with suspense (more than romance). Reese is completely in the dark as to what's been going on around her, and you really feel for her. And Luke? Everything Luke is doing for her is bumping him straight to the top of the amazing book boyfriends list. By the time you finish this book, you'll be rooting so hard for them to make it.
Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens next. The third and final installment releases August 31! I've already got my ARC and am jumping in RIGHT NOW!
