With a famous NHL player for a stepbrother, Violet Hall is well acquainted with the playboy reputation of many a hockey star. So of course she isn’t interested in legendary team captain Alex Waters or his pretty, beat-up face and rock-hard six-pack abs. When Alex inadvertently obliterates Violet’s misapprehension regarding the inferior intellect of hockey players, he becomes much more than just a hot body with the face to match. Suffering from a complete lapse in judgment, Violet discovers just how good Alex is with the hockey stick in his pants. Violet believes her night of orgasmic magic with Alex is just that: one night. But Alex starts to call. And text. And email and send extravagant—and quirky—gifts. Suddenly, he's too difficult to ignore, and nearly impossible not to like. The problem is, the media portrays Alex as a total player, and Violet doesn’t want to be part of the game.
Oh. My. God.....
This book is not only freaking HOT but it's funny too! I was literally laughing out loud at some parts, which makes for really awkward stares from strangers....
I've never been more glad in my life that I bumped this one up my TBR list.
Best. Decision. Ever!
Violet Hall is one of a kind. She's brash, tough, and has absolutely NO filter on the things that come out of her mouth. Her stepbrother is a hockey player who's just been traded to the home team and, thanks to her stepfather's connections as a hockey scout, they have the best seats in the house for his first game for the new team.
Violet can't stand hockey players. She's dated one in the past and knows that's a road she doesn't want to go down again, no matter how hot and sexy some of them might be. That includes the sexy skater currently pressed up against the glass making eye contact with her. After the game, she and her family head to the after-party to hang out with her brother and the other players, and that's where she meets Alex Waters, sexy-skater-pressed-against-the-glass guy.
He's charming, smart, and sexy-as-hell and it totally has Violet rethinking her no-hockey-hunk policy.
There's only so much yumminess a girl can resist, and it turns out Alex has just the right amount to keep her from resisting.....
If you can't already tell, I ABSOLUTELY loved this book! No wonder it shot up to be in the top 20 on the NY Times Bestseller list.
If you haven't been Pucked yet, you really need to get on it. NOW!!! :)
